A Magi Hat in the V&A museum for chiller. The rings are detachable for flingy Odd Job style murdering!


Based on this pattern, as requested by my sister for Christmas. It's supposed to be a bird, but I didn't have any suitable wool for a beak, or buttons for eyes (I found some sequins), so it looks more like a little ghost.

Felt is good for making beaks on knitted birds.

In my defence I had very limited supplies, as I'd already got to parents for Christmas before I started. I only had my easily transportable bag of small things (crotchet hooks, small circulars needles, needles, and a few scraps, including the yellow). I made most this bird while watching a couple of films, then raided Mum's spares box, which only had large buttons, but did have sequins.

But thanks for the tip. I don't think I have any felt in my small stash of crafty stuff, and I've had fun with it in the past. Must keep an eye out for some.
