Shoulder gripes.
Nov. 9th, 2008 05:44 pmAbout three years ago I got a bit paranoid that my left shoulder was moving differently to my right, so went to see the GP. There was an elderly locum in, who just said something along the lines of "bodies aren't symmetric, don't worry." So I didn't.
A couple of weekends ago I had a wardrobe malfunction, and bruised/strained my neck/left shoulder. And it still aches. So I asked iBon to take a movie of my shoulder blades moving.
Yeuarch! Think I'll try and make an appointment with a local GP tomorrow.

Shoulders
Date: 2008-11-10 06:37 am (UTC)Physio said that actually both my shoulders are weak (which I have since found out both my dad and sister have too) and so I have some simple exercises to strengthen them up. They seem to be working so I am happy.
One thing to note is that your GP may not be up to date on looking at shoulders so it may be worth warning them off so they can look it up in advance and if they are useless insist on seeing a physio, consultant or another shoulder expert.
