I never realised quite how difficult it can be getting clothes if you're overweight.

I had to get some pants with a 48 inch waist this afternoon, for reasons that aren't terribly important. I started at Marble Arch and walked down to Oxford Circus hitting all the large clothing shops, with no luck. Most shops don't go above a 42 inch waist. I eventually asked around and got the name "High and Mighty" and (as it turns out) some wrong directions. I finally looked it up on my phone, and headed down to the Plaza.

It's a nice little shop on Oxford Street specialising in tall and wide men's clothes, but no underwear. The shop assistant asked me what I was looking for, I told her. She went out back and fetched a pair, then had to go upstairs and root around the store room to find another. Not really a very fun afternoon.

i find this very hard to believe. when you are ready to explain why the heck you needed 48 inch waist pants i will be all (metaphorical) ears.

Someone I know needs some, and can't get them themselves at the moment.

I don't like to share to personal details about others on non-f-locked posts, and this didn't really need to be f-locked. I try to leave my journal as open as possible.

I though of that later. Most of the ones I could find were selling ones with pads. Adult nappies in other words. The few I did find, wouldn't have shipped as quickly as just grabbing them myself, and bunging them in the post.
