A while ago I went to flickgc's to play some games. On the way out hawkida asked me to help out with some Eastercon stuff. I hummed and harred about it, and jamesb enthused me on the idea, in that indomitable way he has.

A such I've attended[1] a couple of programming meetings and snuck into a committee meeting today.

I'm in total awe of conrunners. The amount of stuff they get done, to make sure that a bunch of us fans have a amazing 4 days is truly mind blowing. All done out the kindness of their mad hearts.

The clipped notes I took on the second half of today's committee meeting ran to nearly 4000 words.

Ever wanted to be a con committee secretary?????

Well I've seem to have agreed to be on actual committee for a James con in 2010 (details of roles to be determined, but he seems to have about 5 people roped in so far), and he seems to be gearing up for including me in another couple of nefarious plans.

I think that secretary in another con might not be a bad idea. I could hardly be Tech, and don't really know enough about which fan's are good are what to do programme, etc.

Yeah, hawkida's like that. She's got me doing an item at Easter, although I'm not going to worry about that till I get my guest spot at Microcon out of the way.
