cdaveI got a few pound coins in change from a vending machine today. Remembering what Fuzz had said about more than 1% of pound coins being counterfeit, I had a closer look. These three were marked as 1983:
I really think there's something wrong with the edge of the middle one. The first thing I noticed is that the milling around the edge is more down than the other two. And the letter E is slightly fatter than the other. And it's upside down!
I suppose I ought to give it in to the police.
