Okay, so there's an implication that Moffat convinced him to revive her purely because RTD keeps killing everybody and it seemed a bit sad/wrong to bump Jenny off when she was quite likeable - and no more. But even before this week's news broke, one forum-goer (among many) said: "Hmm. If one wasn't careful, one might wonder how to interpret that information....."
Also, it's notable that the pro-Sparrow crowd has quietened somewhat since Jenny's appearance. Perhaps Carey Mulligan will end up kicking herself she didn't wear leather trousers or chuck in some backflips.
And yeah, it's all speculation. There's currently no evidence (to my knowledge) to suggest any of these are going anywhere. But who knows, perhaps somewhere down the line......? ;)
