Grammatically correct and perfectly OK when writing informally or in the reporting of colloquial speech.

An abomination in a formal document though!

If I read it in a story I'd be too busy being relieved they hadn't written "I'd of", which is abhorrently prevalent, that I wouldn't mind it at all!

Hello, complete stranger here (I found you via [livejournal.com profile] fiat_knox's "I see Mundanes" post, which was on Metaquotes; I liked your comments and thought I'd read through a few entries).

I would just like to point out - because I am that sort of person, and because it's vaguely ironic - that you have misspelt "grammatically" in the above poll. (For the record, I think that "I'd've" is perfectly good grammar.)

I hope you have a lovely life and raise lots of money with your dashing (well, '80s-cricketer version of dashing, at least) moustache!
