Natural born gamer

Or I am teh l33t.
Or What I did at the Weekend.

This weekend I:
Won money on my what was only the second game of Poker I've played in years (Okay it was only a £2 stake, but I did drink 333cl of tequila while playing).
Won the first game of Perudo (liar's dice) I ever played (but came close to bottom in the 11 person round we played later).
Won the first game of Power Grid I ever played.
Came second (by the skin of my teeth) in my first ever game of Settlers of Cattan.
Saved the world on the last turn in Pandemic (team board game) (okay, we did play the easy ruleset).
Close second in the Pit (faced paced card swapping game).
Won a few games of Werewolf, lost a few, and narrated a couple.
Came third at Loot (turn based Pirate card game).
Lost at ecoFluxx.
Lost at Crap Trumps.
Lost twice at Buffy the Board Game (starts a bit like Cludo, then turns into a bit of chase and fight).

What? It was raining, and there's only so many times you can climb Glastonbury Tor.

Joking aside, thanks for inviting me [livejournal.com profile] ool272. I had a great time.

Well apart from the drive there. I left work late. Ignored the sat-nav heading out of London, as it doesn't know the best route. Got stuck in road works for most of the M3. Started following the sat nav from the A303, whereby it took me straight north to the M4. Stupid thing. Then spent 45 minutes driving round country lanes within a mile of the destination, as the GPS co-ordinates I'd nicked off Google Maps didn't line up. Pah!
